Unresitricted Creative Play
Draw on our graffiti wall, paint on our glass wall, create a masterpiece on canvas, splash around in our Messy Tray or join friends for some art on the floor. It's your session, so create your way!
At ColourPlay, we welcome and encourage families and groups with additional support needs (ASN) to join us for creative sessions in a way that works best for them. Our regular Family Sessions are open to everyone, including those with ASN, and we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
However, we understand that some individuals may find a quieter, more controlled setting beneficial. That’s why we offer our ASN Sessions—exclusive use of the ColourRoom for families or groups who feel they would benefit from a private creative space.
Whether you choose to join our Family Sessions or prefer the dedicated ASN Sessions, we are here to support you in accessing creative experiences that suit your needs.
Prepare For Your Visit
Wear Old Clothes
At ColourPlay we encourage everyone to get involved with your creation, and that means you should expect to get messy!
Old clothes are strongly recommended for your colourplay session as we don’t have aprons!
Most of our resources will wash out, but there are some things which may not want to shift and with it being a freeplay studio we cannot guarantee there wont be stray paint splashes no matter how careful you’re being!
Everyone Joins In!
We want everyone to enjoy the ColourPlay experience, and that works best when we all get involved in creating a mess or a masterpiece. Carers are asked to supervise participants where appropriate, but more than that - we want you to get involved too. Create together and you will all have more fun!
Enjoy a Cold Drink & Snack
Our intimate Colour Room space does not allow us to offer cafe facilities.
But, we are happy to offer free complimentary bottled water, as well as a range of cold drinks and snacks to purchase at very reasonable prices!
Available To Registered Users ONLY
ASN Sessions are intended for groups or families that require dedicated access to ColourRoom activities without the interruptions of other participants.
We ask that you register to access ASN Sessions.
How It Works
At ColourPlay, we believe in the power of free play to spark creativity and foster connection.
If you or your group would benefit from a more private setting, our ASN Sessions offer exclusive use of the ColourRoom, allowing you to explore and create at your own pace.
A wide variety of materials are available for you to discover, with most included in the session price—just come in, experiment, and enjoy the freedom to create in a way that feels right for you.
For those who have something a bit more specific in mind we also offer “upgrade” resources which can be purchased at the front desk.
Have a project you’re working on at home? Bring it along!
Whether it's an old piece of clothing you want to upcycle, some rocks you found and would like to paint, or that school project you didn’t quite have time to finish, feel free to bring it with you and use our resources to take it to the next level!

Last admission 1 hour prior to closing.
To ensure that the room is booked out for your exclusive use, the number of participants must total 16. Please add the correct number of Participants and Carers, alongside a number of Unrequired ‘Seats’ so that the total adds to 16 people. You will only be charged for the number of participants attending within your group.

ASN Sessions are currently available on some limited sessions on Wednesdays to Sundays.
