We are a family venue and have a range of activities to encourage everyone to get involved so we don’t have age restrictions. For our youngest visitors we know that all little ones develop at their own pace and some will be ready to play quicker than others. We trust you as their caregiver as being best placed to decide when they are ready to join in. As a guide, mobile babies who won't be content to stay in a sling for the duration of the visit should be counted as a participant in your booking.
Grown-ups are asked to supervise their littles and ensure they are using equipment in a way that is safe for themselves and those around them!
But more than that - we want you to get involved too. Create together and you will all have more fun!
As our venue is so small, we must prioritise our space for participating guests, and so we have decided that all guests require an admission ticket.

Babes in arms are welcome at no charge however they do need to remain contained in a sling or on a care-givers knee for the duration of your visit.
This is because we are a small venue and need to be mindful of our numbers to ensure people can move around safely.
Babies out on the floor will be considered participants and should be included in your booking.
Unfortunately as we are a very small venue, and so we don’t have room to allow prams and buggies in the venue.
There is very limited space to leave them outside. Should you need to bring a pram for little legs we recommend an umbrella style buggy which can be folded small, and young babies to be brought in a sling where possible.
We do want to be as accommodating as possible and appreciate that bringing in a pram attachment may be easier for you/your baby.
We can occasionally accommodate this when its not too busy, but would suggest that you call ahead to check.
We don’t currently offer specific ASN sessions but we DO aim to be as inclusive as possible ALL of the time!
Coming from a neuro-divergent background ourselves we appreciate how important it is to feel included, and also that everyone’s needs differ!
Being a small venue with limited capacity means we tend not to be an overwhelming environment.
The free-play nature of our activities also mean visitors are free to be themselves and play in a way that is meaningful to them without judgement.
We are actively seeking funding that may allow us to offer ASN-dedicated session times in the future.
We want everyone who would like to come to ColourPlay to be able to access it in a way that works for them and aim to be flexible and supportive at all times.
If there’s anything specific we can do to make your visit more comfortable please don’t hesitate to call ahead and we will do our best to accommodate. Whether that is advising when our quietest periods are, switching off the background music or sending ahead photo’s of how the room is set out that day we are always happy to help.
We are on the ground floor and our room has a flexible layout.
However we are unfortunately limited by a rather tight entrance way.
The standard sized doorway does allow for smaller style wheelchairs but larger chairs and mobility aids may struggle.

We have a range of snacks and drinks available at very reasonable prices!
No one wants to get distracted from playing by a hungry tummy so we’ve tried to make sure there's a range that will cover most tastes.
However, we know food can be tricky for a whole host of reasons so while buying your snack here helps us keep things running, no one is going to give you into trouble if you bring your own!
We have two standard access toilets available on the premises.
Yes! We have a baby change table in one of our toilets.
At ColourPlay we want to offer a unique experience in the form of free-play Arts and crafts.
We strongly believe in the power of open-ended play to inspire and unlock your inner creativity!
As a result every session at ColourPlay is unique to you and will go in whatever direction your mood takes you!
